This did nothing for me. The characters was not very developed, i didnt really like or dislike them, they were just..bleh. It wasnt a very long novel that could be the problem, no time to develop them. And then i just absolutely hate when a book contains the word f in a book set in the viking era... Could just be me though..Product details

Viking Hearts edition by Violetta Rand Dragonblade Publishing Romance eBooks Reviews
This was just O.K. for me. Ivar who is the hero was a good character, but it takes you four chapters to realize who the hero is, too long. Mauriana did not captivate my attention very much. These characters had potential, but they weren't developed well. This time I did not feel their supposed chemistry. I wanted to.
I swear I've read this book before somewhere but my review is missing. Anyway I like this author and enjoyed this short story about the h being taken from her home by a Viking. She and her family were threatened by a Christian that comes to her village. There is a public incident and fearing for her life she agrees and pays to go with a Viking merchant to Norway. What she didn't know is that he intended selling her as a slave. The H is on the same trip as the Viking is a distant cousin of his. He befriends and protects the h as they travel back by sea. When they arrive, he leaves the h without saying goodbye because he expects to see her again. Unfortunately the cousin takes her to the market to sell her but the H finds out and rescues her again. It's a short story so I won't say more. It's a nice enough story but the plot has a few holes, particularly the beginning where the h agrees to leave her family and go with the villain.
This is definitely a story for fans because it isn't the best example of the author's work.
Very entertaining.
A stand-alone Novella which is reportedly part of a series. No spoiler with this review. The story opens in a Northern Hesse village, 723 AD. Following unintended violence associated with a priest's return to the village from which he had previously fled, Mauriana is presumably saved when she leaves with Jarl Bodvar, a stranger who provides her with passage to Norway. She later finds herself indebted to him and viewed as his commodity. To avoid a spoiler, I'll just note that there are additional events enfolding after that. Although unrealistic that Mauriana would have left her village without first having determined the fate of her family and friends, the balance of this story is well-written overall, and interesting. I would prefer that it had been longer to allow for character development. One sexual scene at the end is very descriptive and the story's end seems absurdly short and somewhat contrived following that scene. Overall, this story is interesting enough to encourage me to pursue other writings by the author.
Awesome book
It was ok read. Wish it was longer so the story could be better. For a short story it was good. Did leave me wanting more
Although predictable, this novella smoothly introduce H/H and carries them through adventure, intrigue, and finally romance. I enjoyed this story.
